Everything You Need to Know About Phenibut & Drug Tests
Like Phenibut but have a drug test coming up for a job, sporting event or some other activity and don’t know what to do?
Well, then you’ve come to the right place.
Today’s article will go into just that. Everything you need to know about Phenibut, drug tests and better yet… How to prevent Phenibut for showing up on your next test.
This will be a bit shorter than the other posts about Phenibut because this will be jam packed with facts. No BS.
And this is coming from the standpoint of someone who’s seen it all. As a former college athlete, wall street employee and now in business for myself, I’ve dealt with drug tests on every level imaginable.
Hopefully, my experience with this will be beneficial for you.
But before we get into all of that, you need to understand how Phenibut interacts with your body so you can make a more informed decision. Let’s begin with how Phenibut breaks down and travels through your body.
How Phenibut Interacts With Your Body
It’s no secret how powerful Phenibut really is. Most people report that jsut after one dose, most if not all their social anxiety and stress symptoms have disappeared. There is simply no other non-prescription option that can give you these benefits at such a low price.
But perhaps even more interesting that it’s incredible benefits is how it works once you dose it. Immediately after you take it, it goes to work on your GABA receptors to calm neural activity and boost feelings of tranquility and calmness.
For some, you can feel the effects of Phenibut for as long as 36 hours. And that’t not even including the amazing “afterglow” feeling you get.
But how long will the compound last in your system? This is where things get a bit more technical and formal research is needed.
How Long Is Phenibut’s Half-Life?
If you are wondering if Phenibut will show up in a drug test, then you definitely need to know the compound’s half-life.
In basic terms, a supplement’s “half-life” is the period of time it takes for the concentration of the supplement to be reduced to one-half it’s original body amount.
According to various studies done by Russian and other Eastern European scientists, Phenibut has a half-life of 5.3 hours, or approximately 5 hours and 15 minutes. [1]
So if you dosed 400 mg of phenibut, it would take about 5 hours and 15 minutes before the compound dissolved into 200 mg in your system.
This appears to be accurate given that some people report only feeling the effects of Phenibut after about 4-5 hours. This, of course, is not a hard and fat rule. Everyone’s body is different so the rate at which you feel it and the rate it dissolves in your system will be different from someone else’s experience.
So.. Does Phenibut Show Up On Drug Tests?
Now time for the moment you all have been waiting for.
Again, as a reminder to you all, I am a pretty enthusiastic user of Phenibut. In fact, I straight up love the stuff.
And as a result of that, I had to deal with several drug tests while also using Phenibut. So I would definitely say that I can give you guys a flavor of what to expect with drug tests.
Getting started, you should first know a little bit about what type of drug tests there are. Basically, it breaks down like this…
The most common forms of drug tests that you’ll face are urine, saliva, hair and blood tests. Now, this may seem like a lot. But you only need to concern yourself with the urine test for several reasons.
First of all, if you are getting tested for a corporate job, you almost always will get a urine test. This is because it is one of the easier methods to administer and the testers can get a pretty comprehensive view of your drug use at that time.
Saliva and hair could happen, but its unlikely. Some places use saliva because its the easiest, although the accuracy of it is in question. Hair tests are also easy but not as accurate as urine either because that joint you smoked 6 months ago can still show up depending on your hair length.
You will probably never get a blood test (unless you are a fugitive) because they’re the most expensive types of tests to conduct.
You can see the most common types of drug tests below.
Now lets talk about what exactly they will be testing for.
You are more likely to be tested for a job so we’ll start with urine tests in the corporate world.
When it comes to urine tests for corporate jobs, there are two types of tests: 5-panel and 10-panel drug tests.
5-Panel Drug Tests
The 5-Panel drug test screens for the following:
- Cocaine
- Amphetamine/Methamphetamine
- Opiates such as heroin, codeine and morphine
- Phencyclidine or PCP
- THC (marijuana)
Obviously, if you aren’t using any of the above substances, then you should pass a 5-panel drug test with no problem.
10-Panel Drug Tests
The 10-Panel Drug Test screens for the following:
- Cocaine
- Amphetamine
- Methamphetamine
- Opiates such as heroin, codeine and morphine
- Phencyclidine or PCP
- THC (marijuana)
- Propoxyphene
- Methadone
- Barbiturates
- Benzodiazepines
Same story here. Also, it should be noted that prescription pain medication and other prescriptions such as adderall, penicillin, novocaine, hydrocodone or oxycodone could be detected as well.
Clearly, where you will run into the most issues here is with the 10-Panel drug tests.
This is mainly due to the fact that the screen searches for Benzos. Phenibut behaves very similarly to Benzodiazapines in your system and as a result, may show up on your test.
But honestly none of that matters if you are based in the United States. Since Phenibut is 100% legal in the U.S.A., even if it does show up, it wouldn’t matter since it is not a Benzo.
So to answer the question of whether Phenibut shows up on drug tests, the answer depends on if you are given a 5-panel or 10-panel test. For a 5-panel test, it will not show up. For a 10-panel test, it might because they also screen for Benzos and Phenibut is closely related to them.
Where you might run into problems is in a country like Australia for instance. Since it is now illegal there, if it shows up that could be an issue…. Which brings us to our next point.
How to Beat Your Drug Test With Phenibut If You Live In a Country That Banned It
Remember how we talked about the half-life of Phenibut earlier and that you should know it if you want to your drug test to come back squeaky clean? Well, you definitely need to know that info now.
The good news for you is that Phenibut is not known to linger in your system like marijuana can. Once the substance dissolves in your system, its pretty much gone.
So what does that mean for your drug test? Simple.
You just make sure to allow enough time between your last Phenibut dose and your drug test and you will walk out squeaky clean.
Great! But how much is enough time? Even easier.
Since the half-life of Phenibut is about 5.3 hours, you just need to allow 79.5 hours, or about 3 and a half days since your last dose to be clean.
The math works life this. A 400 mg dose would turn into 200mg freely floating around in your system after 5.3 hours. This would then turn to 100mg after another 5.3 hours. Simply continue this trend until you get your answer.
Now me personally, I really didn’t want anything (And I mean anything) to show up on my test so I went cold turkey for a whole month. You definitely don’t have to take it to this extreme, but I would recommend holding out for a week before your test if you want to be 100% sure without a shadow of a doubt.
What About Phenibut and Drug Tests If You Are An Athlete?
This is more interesting. Now I am talking about the NCAA, but would imagine other professional sports to follow a similar protocol.
Now, there is good and bad news here. Let’s start with the bad…
Since athletic commissions not only test for illegal substances, but also substances that they themselves have banned, anything and everything has potential to show up.
So if you take Phenibut, chances are that it will show up.
The good news (If you’re in America)? No one cares. Phenibut is legal and not banned by governing athletic bodies (as of this writing) so it won’t matter. This may be different in other countries and for other sports so look into your sport’s list of banned substances before you jump for joy.
Will Phenibut Show Up On My Drug Test: Wrapping It Up
While there are some grey areas on whether Phenibut will show up or not, one thing is certain. If you are using Phenibut in a country where it’s legal, it will not be a problem.
If it does show up, that’s all it will do, just show up. The testers will know you take Phenibut and that will be that. If you don’t care, great. if you do, just wait about 4 days before your test and you will be clean.
